
Raipur Diocesan Social Welfare Society (RDSWS) is a social development organization of the Archdiocese of Raipur stands tall with its working experience for women, children and tribal community for their wellbeing. In four decades it has grown to be active promoter of women empowerment. It was established in 1980. Its work-area consists of 14 districts of Chhattisgarh State. RDSWS promotes integral development of the poorest - the marginal Labors, small farmers, women, children and depressed people in the society -through its various programs. With the support of international funding partners and individual donors within this country, RDSWS is able to accomplish its work in a meaningful and successful way.
Legal Status :
The Society is registered under Firms and Society Registration Act, 1973. It has obtained IT exemption u/s 12A of the Income Tax Act and the FCRA.

VISION : RDSWS envisages creation of a peaceful society which empowers the poor and marginalized communities without discrimination and promotes justice, equality and fraternity
MISSION : RDSWS will Empower the voiceless, especially women, children, youths, small farmers & laborers by involving their active participation in the various processes promoting.

Management :
The Archbishop of Raipur is the President of the Society. He appoints the Executive Director while the other members are elected by the General Body of RDSWS. The activities and programs of the society are planned, coordinated and monitored by the Governing Body, Staff, Diocesan project selection Committee and the local center in-charges.

RDSWS promotes the following policies: Human Resource policy, Finance & Accounts, Gender Equality, Child Protection and Anti-Sexual harassment.
