The annual report of Raipur Diocesan Social Welfare Society (RDSWS) for the year 2019-20 opens up yet another new chapter in the ield of socio economic development for the most deprived and marginalized sections of people mainly in the 14 districts of Chhattisgarh. The broad spectrum of activities and their success rate speak volumes about the dedicated and hard work taken up by members of the RDSWS. I am very much pleased to see that the RDSWS is making a positive difference by empowering those denied of human dignity and equal rights, especially women and children in accordance with the Sustainable Development Goals. In working for the integral development of the most deprived in the society, it proclaims and bears witness to the Gospel and the Catholic Social Teachings. The Raipur Diocesan Social Welfare Society's (RDSWS) Annual Report 2019-2020 places before us its important achievements and many successful initiatives implemented during the last year. We are happy to know that Raipur Diocesan Social Welfare Society's interventions have been mostly in the remotest villages for the distressed communities and the most disadvantaged regions in the Archdiocese of Raipur. I am glad to know that the RDSWS is doing a lot of work in the ields of children's education, community mobilization, protection of the environment, ensuring Land Pallas for Baigas, providing skills and various livelihood options to the tribal and Dalit women. I thank sincerely the Board members for giving their valuable time and suggestions from time to time to achieve our objectives and goal. It is our dedicated staff under the leadership of Rev. Fr. Joseph Raj who work hard to make this possible. I acknowledge with gratitude the support and cooperation of the donors who provided the monetary support to make things happen. It is our privileged joy to remember all our friends, volunteers, well-wishers and collaborators who support us in our efforts to bring joy and hope to the poor and marginalized. My heartfelt appreciation and thanks to all those who supported the program implementation and organizational activities with devotion and commitment.
